Ordering your first pair of glasses online doesn’t have to be a headache!
Our Mouqy team has worked tirelessly to deliver you high-performance and stylish glasses that you can easily try on, and order online – all from the comfort of home.
Lenses that block blue light, won’t scratch, and more!
No matter which style or design you love best – all of our Mouqy lenses are made with superior durability and quality in mind.
Whether you require a strong prescription, or none at all – all our lenses maintain a lightweight, paper-thin design that flatters the face. You can also choose from a range of different indexes in order to meet your specific visual needs.
Best of all, most Mouqy frame styles come with the option of blue light blocking lenses. These are directly infused with advanced blue light absorbing materials. This method of absorbing blue light offers superior protection and durability to many other blue-light filtering glasses on the market (which simply deposit a layer of blue-light blocking material on the lens).
All Mouqy lenses are also enhanced with multiple functional coats, which add a range of attributes to your glasses, including:
Anti-scratch
Anti-glare
Anti-reflective
Layering these different coats allows us to deliver the optimal vision correction you need, while keeping your eyes comfortable and happy.
How to read your eyeglasses prescription
At Mouqy, we offer both prescription and non-prescription versions of our eyeglasses.
If you’re purchasing prescription glasses, we’ll ask you to share your prescription details before you check out. This helps us make sure that your lenses are appropriate for your eyes’ specific vision needs.
If you haven’t visited your eyecare professional in more than a year…
If it’s been a while since your last appointment, it’s highly recommended to schedule an eye exam as soon as possible to get a new prescription.
That’s because our vision can be quite fragile and require more correction over time, especially if they’re constantly in use and put under strain.
If you’ve already gotten your prescription…
If you have your prescription and understand how to read it, then you’ll have nothing to worry about when it comes to shopping for your new pair of eyeglasses.
However – we totally get that reading prescriptions can get kind of confusing.
Different folks have different eye conditions, and prescriptions often come filled with optometric jargon. If you have any doubts at all, please check out our guide on how to read your prescription.
All about PD for your eyeglasses
You’ll probably notice the term ‘PD’ used on our website. But what on earth does it mean?
PD actually stands for ‘Pupillary Distance’. Your Pupillary Distance is the distance between the center of your left pupil to the center of your right pupil, and is usually measured in millimeters.
Fun fact: The Pupillary distance of an average adult is between 54 – 74 mm, while children should have a PD reading between 43 – 58 mm.
Your PD is used to determine where the ideal spot is to look through in your glasses. That makes it a critical piece of information when you’re ordering new lenses!
When purchasing Mouqy glasses, we’ll need you to share your PD number with us.
It’s really important that your PD is as accurate as possible, as this helps us provide you with optimal vision correction, and make sure you can see comfortably out of your brand new glasses.
Your optometrist or ophthalmologist should have prescribed you with your PD, but in case you forgot or misplaced the prescription, it’s possible to measure your PD from the comfort of your home with a ruler and a mirror.
It’s even easier if you can get a buddy to help you out. For specific instructions – check our guide on how to measure your PD.
Order online, worry-free!
If you’ve never bought glasses online before, you might be a bit hesitant about the process. However, our team’s worked hard to make sure all our customers have the smoothest possible shopping experience!
To make sure you’re happy with your purchases, we offer a 30-day no-questions-asked, one-time replacement or cash refund guarantee if any manufacturing defects are found on our products (although this does not cover damage caused by user negligence, accidents or improper care – please read the full terms of our refund policy).
Our glasses are also covered by a warranty. Finally, we also offer order tracking on all orders, so you’ll be able to watch your new Mouqys make their journey safely into your hands.
Many people prefer buying eyeglasses online, since it comes with many advantages over needing to go-in store. You have more frames to choose from and can use virtual try-on technology at your own pace & comfort (with no sales person pressure!) Purchasing eyeglasses online may even cost less, since retailers don’t need to pay for physical stores – and they’re able to pass these savings on to you.
What do I need to order glasses online?
At Mouqy, we will only need your prescription and PD if you’re buying prescription glasses. Here’s more information on how to read your prescription and measure your PD.
How do I make sure my glasses fit online?
To make sure you get the perfect fit, make sure to get the frame measurement correct and pick the right frame for your face shape. You can also take advantage of our virtual try-on feature to see how frames look on your face, in real-time, before you buy them.
How quickly can I get a pair of prescription glasses?
Once your order is confirmed, you should receive your glasses in 7 – 14 days. Once your order is shipped, you’ll be able to track it here as it heads in your direction.
Can I wear non-prescription glasses?
Yes, it’s perfectly fine to wear non-prescription glasses if you don’t need glasses – they won’t hurt your vision. In fact, certain types of glasses give benefits to all wearers – e.g. by blocking out the harmful blue light emitted by digital screens. Some glasses also come with added beneficial coatings on their lenses.
